The Gift of Membership

I find that the holiday season is a natural time to pause and reflect upon the year that has just been completed, and as I contemplate the past year, one overwhelming feeling springs to mind—pride—the pride that is felt knowing our giving circle members and our grantees have made such a difference for so many.
For 2023, our goals are ambitious and our challenges varied and interesting, and with our focus on "Moving Forward, Stronger Together" our future accomplishments are many.
I wish you and your loved ones a joyous holiday season and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. |

This Holiday Give the Gift of WGA Membership |
Looking for a unique and meaningful gift this holiday season? Consider a WGA Membership! That's right! You can donate membership to another woman, gifting her the opportunity to become part of the WGA giving circle. In addition to a unique gift, she'll have the opportunity to become a more strategic philanthropist and help make a difference in the lives of women and girls in our community. What a wonderful way to inspire other women in your life and increase positive impact.
Give the gift that keeps on giving, here's how:
- Go online to Membership > Join/Renew > Click link to pay online (or pay by check*)
- Complete the form and in 'Comments' include the name and email address of the recipient receiving the membership
- Click 'Donate Now'
A welcome and congrats email with the membership gift certificate will be sent to the recipient.
*If you choose to gift a membership by check, follow the instructions on the webpage. |

Grant Applications are OPEN—Spread the Cheer! |
WGA's 2023 grant application process is now open, and nonprofits are invited to apply!
Nonprofit agencies and their clients in Northeast Florida continue to be disproportionately negatively impacted by recent and persistent economic conditions. In response, the Women's Giving Alliance is offering one-year, one-time grants for agency workforce support or for client basic needs support.
The deadline to apply is 5pm on January 30, 2023.
Please share this message with your Northeast Florida nonprofit network! |

Help Design "Volunteer Engagement" |
You've asked for hands-on volunteer experiences at our agencies and we are responding! This is new for WGA and we need your input on what you think will work well. For example, is it one Saturday dedicated to working at 4 to 5 agencies all at the same time or do we offer 4 to 5 different days and times? Thoughts? What a great way to come alongside our agencies serving women and girls while interacting with fellow WGA members. If you are willing to give 1 ½ hours in a Zoom call sometime in January to share your opinion and help us create a great volunteer engagement experience, then please contact Barb Wenger at 904 859-4563 or barbwenger@gmail.com. |
