The Suwannee Valley Community Foundation was founded to join community needs and opportunities with the philanthropic and charitable visions of donors in Columbia, Hamilton, Lafayette, Suwannee and Union counties. As an affiliate fund of The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida, the Suwannee Valley Community Foundation is governed by a local advisory board, while also leveraging more than 55 years of grantmaking and philanthropic expertise and support from The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida.

Since its inception in 2002, the Suwannee Valley Community Foundation has actively engaged donors across many different areas, establishing organizational endowments for the Rotary Club of Lake City and the United Way of Suwannee Valley, while also creating funds that address quality of life issues in the region.
