Hello WGA Members and Friends, |
As our Annual Meeting approaches and another WGA year is "in the books", it is both a time to reflect on our collaborative achievements and a time to Focus Forward (our Annual Meeting theme) on the important work ahead. Together, we have moved the needle for women and girls, strengthened our understanding of strategic philanthropy, and positioned ourselves for success in our next decade. More specifically, we have:
- Listened to you, our valued members and incorporated many of your Member Survey suggestions in our work.
- Strengthened our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion to achieve better outcomes for women and girls in multiple ways.
- Built our internal capacity for strong growth over the next decade.
- Continued to build close relationships with our grantees through convenings and conversations to better invest in our joint mission.
Please attend our inspiring Annual Meeting on October 20 at 11:00 AM at UNF to learn more.
On a personal note, I would be remiss if I didn't share with you just how much this experience has meant to me. It is extremely moving, and gratifying, to work with colleagues who have such passion for the well-being of others. It has been an honor, and a sheer joy, to work with all of you in this work that is truly honorable in itself. My heart swells because I truly believe we are positioned well for the future - our best days are yet to come. I am so proud to be a WGA member. I thank all of you for everything because without you none of this happens.
With gratitude and warmest wishes,

As always, you will have opportunities to learn about how you can volunteer; and we will enjoy connecting with one another. We will have a photo booth with props to capture the fun with you and your friends. See you there! |

Thank You, WGA Leaders! |
It is with both sadness and a joyful heart that we thank our outgoing leaders who have gone above and beyond and served WGA exceptionally well. We will dearly miss their leadership, but they have earned their rest as they have completed their terms. These extraordinary women have worked hard with energy, passion and commitment on behalf of our 440+ members for many years. We would like to offer our deepest gratitude for all you've done for WGA! |

Kacie Smyth, WGA Director, Promoted! |
We congratulate Kacie Smyth, current WGA Director, on her promotion to The Community Foundation's Director of Donor Services. Kacie has served as WGA Director for the past year and a half. As many of you know, Kacie quickly became acclimated to the work of WGA, developed close relationships with our members, and became an invaluable asset to our work in a short period of time. We will dearly miss her kind, professional, leadership.
The Community Foundation along with incoming President, Sheila Collier, are currently interviewing for the new WGA Director who will report to Wanda Willis, VP of Civic Engagement at TCF. Kacie will continue to serve as WGA Director until a new Director is hired. We thank Kacie and congratulate her on her well-earned promotion. |

A Special Note of Gratitude |
We would like to thank three additional WGA members that have volunteered for many years (and continue to do so) on the Communications Team, producing the E-News every month, posting on social media, and making regular website updates. These outstanding women do this work year after year with little to no recognition. We deeply thank:
- Linda Hull: E-News
- TriciaRae Stancato: Social Media
- Kate Ligare: Website
