For siblings Megan Del Pizzo and Brian Bush, the fourth generation to lead the Tom Bush Family of Dealerships, giving back is a family tradition. Their grandfather purchased his first Jacksonville dealership 55 years ago, and today the Bushes operate seven dealerships and a collision center with more than 350 employees.
“We grew up in the business—filing papers, answering phones, learning everyone’s name,” Megan said.
She continued: “A vibrant Jacksonville is about more than business—it’s about people. Our family and our employees share a responsibility to give back and help our community grow.”
Their philanthropy reflects both their heritage and their future, honed through their experiences with the Weaver Philanthropic Initiative at The Community Foundation. Megan and her husband, Matthew, and Brian and his wife, Maureen, are alumni of the program.
The Bushes sponsor more than 60 nonprofit events each year through their marketing budget. Through the Tom Bush Family Foundation Fund, established in 2021, they give to causes closest to their hearts: breast cancer prevention and treatment, support for the military community, and children and families.
Their grandmother, a breast cancer survivor, once organized early-detection conversations at the dealership—a legacy they honor with annual awareness campaigns and a company-wide tradition of “Pink Thursdays” (pictured above).
“We’re proud of our culture here,” Brian added. “Being recognized as one of the Jacksonville Business Journal’s Best Places to Work ten years in a row speaks to how we care for employees, and that same care extends to the community.”
