Grant applications are open to nonprofit organizations whose primary focus is to provide services and resources to improve the quality of life for residents experiencing food and basic needs insecurity in Northeast Florida. 

Program Support Grants to Address Food and Needs Insecurity

Grants are available to assist with providing services and resources, such as clothing, food, or other support to help residents meet their basic needs. The maximum grant request amount ranges from $10,000 to $20,000, depending on the organization’s annual operating budget.

Grant Size:

The maximum grant request amount ranges from $10,000 to $20,000, depending on the organization’s annual operating budget.

  • Organizations with budgets between $100,000-$250,000 are eligible to apply for up to $10,000
  • Organizations with budgets over $250,000 are eligible to apply for up to $20,000

Eligibility:

  • Nonprofit organizations with current 501(c)(3) status, and a 2-year work history
  • Annual operating budget of $100,000 or above.
  • Located in and serving serving one of these counties: Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, St. Johns

We are not able to fund:

  • Athletic associations
  • Fundraising event sponsorships
  • Programs promoting religious beliefs*
  • Schools (public, private and charter) and school-based organizations (PTAs, boosters, etc)
  • Requests outside our region (must be in: Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, St. Johns counties)

*Grants may be made to faith-based organizations for the non-religious programs offered to the broader community

Timeline

  • January 6, 2025 – March 1, 2025: We are here to help. If you need assistance with applying, either in-person, virtual, or by phone, please submit your appointment request here.
  • March 6, 2025: Applications due by 11:59 PM
  • June 1, 2025: Grants recipients notified
  • June 1, 2025 – May 30, 2026: Grant-funded projects must occur within this timeframe.
