Program Support Grants for Putnam County

These grants are available to assist with improving the quality of life in Putnam County by promoting educational opportunities, eliminating food insecurity, supporting veterans, and promoting the general welfare of Putnam County residents.

Program Support Grants for Putnam County

Grants to assist with improving the quality of life in Putnam County. Grants may be requested up to $25,000 (either a one or two-year grant). Most grants will be awarded in $5,000-$10,000 range, with larger grants available to support bigger projects. The total for a two-year request cannot exceed $25,000.

Applications Closed

Projects should be based only in Putnam County and seek to address the following populations affected by poverty:

 

  • Children and youth (ages 0-18)
  • Residents with unmet basic needs (hunger, clothing, and other basic items)
  • Veterans
Funding is not intended to provide ongoing operational support. Organizations with a current active grant are not eligible to apply.

Eligibility for Nonprofit Organizations:

  • Active 501(c)(3) status, and a 2-year work history
  • Serving Putnam County

We are not able to fund:

  • Fundraising event sponsorships
  • School-based organizations (PTAs, boosters, etc)
  • Requests outside of Putnam County

Organizations may submit only one application from the following: Program Support, Capacity Building or Putnam County grant application. 

Timeline

  • March 30, 2023 – 10am-11am: Application Orientation session (virtual)
  • April 3, 2023: Grants application process opens — Check out our ‘How to Apply’ Guide for detailed instructions!
  • Technical Assistance appointments available 4/3/23 – 5/12/23. Please submit your appointment request here.
  • May 18, 2023: Applications due by 5pm
  • July 28, 2023: Notified of grant decision
  • Grant projects must occur between August 1, 2023 and July 31, 2025
