Since 1990, Art Ventures has made more than 240 grants to individual artists and more than 150 grants to small arts organizations.
Small Arts Organizations
These grants are open to small and mid-size arts and cultural organizations in Northeast Florida. The purpose of this funding is for organizational capacity-building and program development. Individual artist grants are next available in 2025.
Grant size: $10,000
Applications are now Closed.
Eligibility:
- Small to mid-sized organization with current 501(c)(3) status (or a formal agreement with a fiscal sponsor) and a minimum two-year work history.
- The mission of the organization must be primarily focused on arts and culture.
- The organization must be based in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, Putnam or St. Johns County.
Additional funding is available through the Delores Barr Weaver Black Arts Organizations Fund for Black-led/Black-centered organizations that meet one or more of the following criteria.
- More than 50% of Black staff are in leadership positions.
- More than 50% of the Board of Directors identify as Black.
- The mission statement/programs aim to predominantly serve Black communities.
Timeline
- August 1, 2024: Application opens online
- August 28, 2024: Grant Application Assistance Webinar, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM. View Zoom Recording
- September 23, 2024: Applications due by 5:00 PM
- November 20, 2024: Grantees notified of awards
- December 1, 2024 – June 1, 2026: Grant projects must occur during this 18 month timeframe.
2024 Applications are now closed. Small Arts Organizations applications will open again in 2026.
