The Community Foundation joined First Coast Habitat for Humanity for its recent groundbreaking for RiverBank Estates, a project that received a $1M low-cost loan from The Community Foundation.

An Invitation to Invest

Since 2022, The Community Foundation’s impact investing program has allowed donors to expand their impact beyond traditional grantmaking. Launched in 2022 with $7.4 million in capital, the Local Capital Pool has now invested $6.5 million through 10 loans to projects that are expanding affordable housing and economic opportunity in our region. These low-cost loans are already at work in our community: improving access to homeownership in the urban core, helping small business owners access capital and technical assistance, and providing quality housing for veterans.

With this momentum, The Community Foundation is now inviting fundholders to invest and take part in expanding this work. Please join us at one of two briefings to learn about this opportunity.
