Communication Guidelines for Beaches Community Fund Grantees

How to Share the Good News of Your Grant

Congratulations on your grant! These guidelines are designed to help you communicate about your good news.

We welcome (but does not require) you to publicize your grant via news release, social media, website updates or blog posts, presentations or e-newsletters. The following guidelines are designed to help.

  • If you choose to announce your grant, please use the resources below to correctly credit the Beaches Community Fund.
  • Some of our grantees find that announcing grants is helpful to their missions, by building awareness of their work and recognizing the donors who made these grants possible. You are welcome but not required to communicate about your grant.
  • If you use social media to post information about your grant-funded project and activities, please share with/tag The Community Foundation on our social sites (Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram); our handle is @cfjacksonville and you may use the hashtag #BeachesCommunityFund. We love to highlight your success and raise awareness about the opportunities for local donors to give back in Northeast Florida.
  • We invite you to send us photos of work this grant supports—one to three high quality, high resolution .jpg files would be ideal, emailed to Stephanie Garry Garfunkel (sgarfunkel@jaxcf.org). Make sure any participants who appear in the photo have appropriate media release documents (if you need a standard photo release form, let us know—we’ll be happy to send it to you.) A few sentences giving some context to the photo would be helpful, and of course, your name and contact information.

About the Beaches Community Fund:

The Beaches Community Fund was established in 2015 at The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida, Florida’s oldest and one of its largest community foundations. The fund was created by a group of donors who reside at or near the beaches of Northeast Florida, and together they have invested more than $2.3 million to preserve and enhance the quality of life for all Beaches residents from Mayport to Guana.
