Tom Nehl Community Theater Initiative (By invitation only)

The Tom Nehl Community Theater Initiative is designed to improve the quality of community theater productions in Northeast Florida. Community theaters that meet eligibility requirements will be invited to apply to this initiative. The initiative does not accept proposals from any professional theater company or organization.

Most Recent Grants

AMELIA COMMUNITY THEATRE -- $2,644 to enhance the production of Return to the Forbidden Planet, to purchase lighting accessories, to offset expenses for the Peppermint Players and to enhance the one-acts at White Oak Plantation. Tom Nehl Fund

AMELIA COMMUNITY THEATRE -- $2,147.26 to purchase wireless microphones, folding screens and to enhance the first two productions of the season. Tom Nehl Fund

ATLANTIC BEACH EXPERIMENTAL THEATER -- $7,780 to enhance technical excellence, artistic excellence and purchase lighting instruments. Tom Nehl Fund

FERNANDINA LITTLE THEATER -- $121.93 to offset the technical production costs of the musical Grease. Tom Nehl Fund

FERNANDINA LITTLE THEATER -- $3,300 to support the production of The Mousetrap, The Cemetery Club, Run for Your Wife, and training support for staff and volunteers. Tom Nehl Fund

HIGH SPRINGS COMMUNITY THEATER, INC. -- $3,000 to offset production costs for the play 1776 and fund a stage curtain. Tom Nehl Fund

HIGH SPRINGS COMMUNITY THEATER, INC. -- $5,250 to support the education and training of volunteers. Tom Nehl Fund

ORANGE PARK COMMUNITY THEATER -- $3,927.39 to enhance the musical production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Tom Nehl Fund

ORANGE PARK COMMUNITY THEATER -- $7,810.45 to enhance the artistic excellence of The Fantasticks and update lighting control equipment. Tom Nehl Fund

PLAYERS BY THE SEA -- $7,132.50 to support the production of The World Goes Round and purchase lights. Tom Nehl Fund

PLAYERS BY THE SEA -- $7,500 to fund costumes, sets and props for productions of Pirates of Penzance, A Tuna Christmas and Painting Churches. Tom Nehl Fund
