Stimulating Philanthropy to Build a Better Community
Welcome to The Community Foundation in Jacksonville. We are a community of donors and the charitable giving funds they have established to build a better community.
Founded in 1964, we are the oldest community foundation in Florida, serving the citizens of Jacksonville and surrounding Northeast Florida. Today, The Community Foundation is home to over 360 individual funds, holds more than $141 million in assets and has made more than $166 million in grants.
The Community Foundation has decades of experience helping donors plan their philanthropic journeys and build a better community for themselves and those they love.
Donate Today to the Community Safety Net Fund
Thanks to a generous lead gift of $500,000 from the Jessie Ball duPont Fund that is being matched by other foundations and individuals, The Community Foundation will be making grants to organizations that provide basic needs like food, shelter, clothing and utility assistance to residents of Northeast Florida. Your donation will help increase the amount of support we can provide, so please donate today.
